Lots of excitement and anticipation building towards a nice birthday celebration at Daniel Boulud's restaurant at the Wynn Las Vegas. A Master Chef of French Cuisine and a beautiful setting was a perfect combination for an incredible evening.
The setting did not disappoint, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and the outdoor sitting area by the waterfall and tropical pond is breathtaking at night. The picture shows some of the evening entertainment by the waterfall!
The food on the other hand, was a completely different story. I have to admit that I had the best French Onion soup ever at this restaurant, and a nice selection of fromage, but that was the extent of it. Our dinner menu was diverse; we had duck, steak, chicken, and mussels for our main courses, onion soup, and a fromage platter as appetizer, coffee and a complimentary dessert because it was my birthday. We all had two glasses of wine and the total bill with tip was $450.00
Overall the food was not bad, but not what you would expect from a world renown Chef, I have had better food at out local restaurant LeBouchon for less $$.
The service was excellent, the ambiance outstanding, and that's what you will be paying for!
I'm just saying...
