A Saturday afternoon at the BarkPark

This afternoon I took the girls to the local BarkPark, it was a beautiful day!

We met a rowdy Boston Terrier who tried to rule on all the other dogs!

Here's Tullah the English Bulldog, who's sole purpose in life is to get belly rubs!

Here's the rowdy Boston Terrier running after a smaller dog!

Then we saw a Beagle and a Schnauzer that were just getting to know each other

Here's Molly who's joy in life is to run after a tennis ball! Over and over, and over....

Overall it was a great day at the Bark Park for the dogs and their humans!

When your Iphone goes for a swim...

When your Iphone goes for a swim you think your world has come to an end, that you are empty without your gadgets. Maybe you think, it was time for an upgrade anyways and you head to the Apple store to buy a new one.

Well I am here to tell you that there's hope, even when you accidentally dunk your Iphone in the toilet. I am an expert at drowning phones. Drowned my Motorola Razor many times, my BlackJack a few times, our work phones, the Ascoms and Spectralinks, more times that I can remember. When I got my Iphone 3G I vowed to be extra careful with it, and life was good had it for a few years and no accidents.

Last Saturday was a crazy hectic day and my Iphone accidentally drowned; it was dead, immediately I started CPR (CellPhoneRevival) following the steps that had successfully worked with all my other phones and by Tuesday evening my Iphone was as good as new.
I have to confess that by Sunday I had already bought a new 3GS because there's no way I could be without a phone for 3-4 days, and yes I was ready for an upgrade. But if you have an old phone ATT phone around you can swap SIM cards and wait while your Iphone wakes up from its coma. My 3G is going to friend that's in need of a 21st century phone.

Here are the Cell Phone Revival steps:

1) Quickly dry the phone, if able remove battery
2) Remove all excess water
3) Use a hair dryer (or a hand dryer)
4) Dont try to turn on the phone let it be for 3-4 days
5) If able fill a tupperware with rice and stick phone in it for 3-4 days

Preventive Steps: Buy a waterproof case!

I'm just saying...

Bowling with the LOLs...

I was suckered into bowling again after an 18 months absence from the lanes. I don't even know if "suckered" is even a real word, but only a "sucker" would agree to pay $20 a week to bowl 3 games and get totally aggravated by lanes conditions at a bowling center that only serves Pepsi and lousy food.

Going back to school for my Masters degree force me to put bowling on hiatus, in that time frame all but one of the bowling centers in my areas shut down.

I really did not miss bowling but missed the friends I've made througout the years, which I affectionately call my little old ladies (the LOLs). Missed traveling with them to go to tournaments in and out of state, even when we bowled terribly we always managed to have an awesome time.

Every now and then the LOLs kick my ass in the lanes and week after week I keep coming back for more. I smuggle my own CocaCola and snacks that way I don't have to endure the lousy food, leaving me only to worry about the lousy lane conditions...
